From the very first moment we got our hands on this electronic lock, we were attracted to its sleek design. The keyboard layout is similar to a mobile phone keyboard, so you immediately understand how to use it.

When you press a button on the keyboard, the backlight turns on automatically. The brightness of the backlight is extremely sufficient for both day and night, but you don’t need the backlight for daytime use.
There’s a keyhole just below the keyboard where you can use your mechanical keys. We find it important to have a keyhole in this type of electronic lock because it is always useful to have a plan B to open the door should the lock suddenly fail. When you press and hold any button on the keypad for 2 seconds, the door will lock.
Overall, we like the design and quality of the keyboard. The Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock is similar in keyboard and keyhole design to the Hugolog HU01 Digital Deadbolt.
According to the company’s claim, Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock can operate between -4°F to 131°F/ -20°C to 55°C. Since we didn’t have a chance to get the temperature to test it, we contacted some users of this electronic lock and asked about their experiences. As we can see, the cold and hot air does not affect the working performance of the product much.

You can program a total of 20 user codes on the Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock. You need a master code to program and this code is programmed as 12345678 by default. The first thing to do before adding a new code is to change this master code. Because whoever enters this code can open your door by programming the new code.
You can program 2 types of different user codes as permanent and one time. Permanent codes always work without any restrictions. Single use codes get automatically deleted from the system after single use. If there are people who need to enter your home once and you don’t want to provide a permanent code, you can easily handle the task by programming a one-time code. We tried 5 times and each time the one-time codes were removed from the system without any problems.
There is a cool feature called “fake pin”. This is to hide your user code if you suspect someone is watching you enter the code. The usage is very simple. Just enter some random digits before or after your user code. For example, let’s say your user code is 5756, so when you enter 33905756 or 57563321, both of these codes will work because they both contain 5756.

Automatic locking is one of the most amazing features found in electronic locks and smart locks. Thanks to automatic locking, you can remove the process of locking your door from your life. All you have to do is turn on Auto-Lock. When you enable it, the default time is set as 30 seconds, but you can set it to any desired time between 10 and 99 seconds.
The Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock will automatically lock after another door is opened for the amount of time you choose. We tried 15, 26, 54, and 88 seconds, and each time the lock occurred at the correct time. If you have a large family and your door is often left open, this function can provide you with serious comfort.

By our calculations, the battery life of the Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock seems to be around 8 months. Of course, this battery life can vary from user to user, but we think you can easily find an average of 8 months. Door position, weather conditions, frequency of use, battery quality and enabled features are the biggest factors affecting battery life.
When the battery is low the red LED will flash 10 times and at the same time 10 beeps will be heard. We strongly recommend that you replace the batteries within a few days of receiving this warning.
Even if you forget to change the batteries, you can use the mechanical key to open your door through the keyhole at the bottom of the keypad. Changing the battery is very easy. All you have to do is remove the cover of the indoor unit, replace the battery in the battery compartment, and replace the cover. Overall this process will be completed in just 1 minute.
The Zomoss Electronic Deadbolt Lock pleased us with its battery life, but we would have liked to see a backup emergency power input to provide temporary power to the door.
