The Infinix Hot 20 series is the latest smartphone from Infinix. The brand has recently re-entered the Malaysian market. Those who already know this brand will know that they have been quiet in the Malaysian market for a while and the Hot 20 series has definitely made a mark in the smartphone market.

The Infinix Hot 20 is an entry-level smartphone created to meet the needs of young adults. It is available in four colors: Sonic Black, Tempo Blue, Fantasy Purple and Legend White. The color to be reported is Legend White with silver frame and white glossy back.

Instead of metal or protruding parts like other phone brands, the Infinix Hot 20 highlighted the camera lens with a slightly different white tone that is barely visible from some angles. The camera lens is very unique and doesn’t stick out much compared to other phones.
On the right side of the screen are the volume buttons and the power button just below. Most phones with a fingerprint power button are designed with a slightly recessed button, and the Infinix Hot 20’s power button protrudes slightly like a regular power button, but it’s lower compared to the volume buttons. This can sometimes lead to unwanted and accidental touching of the power button when using it without a case. Given the clear TPU cover, it helps a little as the case itself has a hole above the power button to hide the button from accidental touches.
The bottom of the phone has an audio jack port, microphone, USB C charging port and speaker grill. On the front, there is a front-facing camera with holes centered at the top of the screen.

We have tried quite a few processor and graphics demanding games on the phone, such as Genshin Impact, Torchlight Infinite, Honkai Impact 3 and Pokemon Go. The Infinix Hot 20 performed pretty well in all games, maybe not even with the highest graphics settings. It’s smooth enough for you to enjoy the game without getting in the way. However, Genshin Impact is too heavy to run smoothly on your device.

Instead of aiming for what so many other smartphones are already doing, Infinix opted for a more subdued design on the Note 11 Pro. This time it has a mostly plastic body and frame, with a finish that makes it a phone.

Despite not actually being made of metal, the Note 11 Pro feels pretty solid in the hand. It’s a refreshing feeling that makes you feel like your phone is in your hand pocket. It’s a bit high for some people, but you don’t need to do finger gymnastics to hold the phone.

Around the edges, there’s a USB-C charging port on the bottom of the phone, a speaker grill on the right, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left. There are no buttons to be found, leaving only the SIM card slot on the left side of the frame. Instead, the volume and power buttons are on the right side, with the latter acting as a fingerprint scanner.
As for the screen, Infinix has implemented a 120Hz refresh rate and even with this LCD panel it looks much better than expected. There’s only one small interruption to this massive 6.95-inch panel, and that’s a hole cut-out at the top of the selfie camera. Other than that, it has an almost bezel-less display which is very vibrant and better than expected.
With the aforementioned refresh rate, Infinix actually offers three different options depending on your requirements. You can choose to have your phone always use 120Hz, always 60Hz, or automatically switch based on what you’re doing. Back in the phone days, this “adaptive” refresh rate caused more stuttering when using the phone, so I ended up leaving it at 120Hz.
Starting with battery life, the Note 11 Pro boasts an amazing 5,000 mAh cell. However, Infinix did not stick to the boring and slow 18W fast charging, as charging speeds of 33W are possible. The company also includes a compatible charging brick in the box, something that is becoming increasingly rare as new smartphones arrive.
